Summary/Abstract: In 2015, Serbia, like much of Europe, faced an unprecedented migration crisis, redirecting its planned reforms in asylum and migration toward emergency humanitarian response. The country established a coordinated system involving public authorities, civil society, and international organizations to manage controlled migration flows and provide urgent aid, reception, and accommodation to migrants and refugees. The evolving situation highlighted both the need for better coordination among actors and the development of flexible, experience-based policies to improve future migration management.
