Summary/Abstract: Author observes the problems of representation of national minorities in the Republic of Serbia. Emphasis is placed on the participation of minorities in the National Assembly as well as the nature of their representative mandate. Special attention is paid to the solutions and problems that occur during the work of the national councils of national minorities. The final part discusses the possible directions of electoral reforms concerning the situation of national minorities in elected bodies.
