Summary/Abstract: The European Roma Rights Centre (ERRC) submits this parallel report to the Human Rights Committee reporting country-specific information on issues affecting Roma in Italy that raise questions under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR). The present report describes the current situation regarding two of the most serious human rights abuses of Roma in Italy – the residential segregation of Roma and hate speech and violence against Roma.
