Short Description
The Bialystok Linguistic Archives (BAJ) is a linguistic journal published yearly since 2000. It offers a forum for Polish and foreign scholars working in the fields of historical and contemporary linguistics. Most articles investigate issues concerned with the Polish language and other Slavic languages.The areas covered include the history of Polish and East Slavic languages, onomastics and dialectology, language contact, idiolects (in particular the idiolects of Polish writers). It also publishes articles concerning grammar and lexicology, contrastive studies, semantics, pragmatics, sociolinguistics, the philosophy of language and metalexicography.
