Short Description
Studia Palmyreńskie is a refereed periodical presenting studies from the field of research on the oasis of Palmyra in Syria. Its main focus since its founding in 1966 has been on Polish excavations carried out in different parts of the ancient Roman site. It has also welcomed studies prepared by an international body of researchers concerning Palmyrene issues, as well as the hinterland of the oasis. The periodical appears irregularly, to date 12 volumes have been published and the newest volume, a monograph of the coin finds from Palmyra, is currently in press.
