Short Description

Lettre internationale (Online) = ISSN 2065 - 7404 «Lettre Internationale» Romanian edition is a quarterly that presents in its pages various aspects of world and Romanian culture and literature. It publishes essays on topical issues in Europe and worldwide, debates on ideas, fiction, diaries, testimonies, poetry. It seeks to reveal significant instances of the present world and to debate their meanings. While standpoints are clear, they rejected extreme attitudes, intolerance, striving to judge events, opinions, works from various angles, pointing out shades of meaning relating to specific causes, circumstances and results. In other words, a severe critical spirit goes hand in hand with the need to elucidate and understand. The Romanian edition of "Lettre Internationale" was first published in 1992, appearing regularly ever since. "Lettre Internationale" was founded in 1984 in France by Antonin J. Liehm. In the same year an Italian edition also appeared; since then, "Lettre Internationale" has become an European magazine with ten different editions in as many languages, hosted by ten European capital cities.
