Short Description
Perhaps astonishing may seem to someone the introduction of Francis' "Salutation to the Virtues": "Hail Queen Wisdom, the Lord salute thee with thy sister Holy-Pure Simplicity" (FF I, 256). Is it surprising that the Queen is not poverty, but wisdom? The text, however, has an obvious hierarchical architecture, and significantly illuminated the later confusion of Franciscan history, which still leads to the inadequate integration of intellectual work into the whole of our life. So, what is the meaning of establishing this scientific yearbook? It is about connecting people who research and write about Franciscan themes and history, or are devoted to science as Franciscans. For us it is a case of joyful thoughtful scholarly life, which can be contagious because it leads to the very core and origin of Life itself. — The subject-matter of publication in the Studia Capuccinorum Boziniensia consists of sources, their critical editions, philosophical and theological studies, studies from other humanities and historical sciences, current documents and reviews, while maintaining high publication standards. We sincerely hope that our Studies will get the readers' favour and will gather a friendly community of contributors.
