Short Description
Published by the Faculty of Fine Arts of St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria Visual Studies is an academic journal of the arts, culture and humanities. The Faculty of Fine Arts publishes the Visual Studies journal since 2017 once a year. Since 2020 journal became publishing tri times per year. It publishes original articles, surveys and short scientific papers in which, besides prominent names in the scientific field, a forum is also given to young, visiting authors to share their scientific queries and professional observations in the following thematic directions:
• Culture and art
• Art Studies
• Theory and history of culture
• Fine Arts
• Architecture
• Literature and Philosophy
• Aesthetics
• Cultural Heritage
With regard to this the editors undertake to provide a politic to keep within to the established ethical rules and criteria, which apply to the concerned people: the authors, the reviewers, the editor-in-chief, the editorial staff, the publisher.
The international editorial board of the journal accepts for publication only original papers not submitted or sent for reviewing to other scientific editions. It works for building a new generation of scientists and researchers timely capable to discover and constantly develop the creative potential of an individual. The Editor-in-Chief and his/her associates find proven scientists for reviewing the manuscripts. Members of the Board of anonymous and independent reviewers are led by high standards while “blindly” assessing the submitted papers. They suggest for publishing papers having deep author analyses of classical and modern educational theories, scientifically proven innovative ideas, experimental results and effective educational practices.
