Short Description

The concept of a recurring periodical devoted to various aspects of security (from military security to political, economic security and the security of citizens) comes from the conviction that this journal should be addressed in a broad social debate. We focus on security, which is not solely in the sphere of the activities of the state structures, but also on human security, security of regional communities, interstate cooperation and other phenomena related to security in a broad sense. The Yearbook of International Security invites authors from Poland as well as from abroad – researchers from various academic centres, from people with established scientific position to PhD candidates and excellent students, can express themselves. We are not running away from disputable and controversial problems. We are discussing current essential issues for state security, presenting experiences of different countries. Each issue (2 per year) presents scientific research, reviews, reports, and announcements. The Scientific Debuts Section is under the special care of the Council and Editor-in-Chief. Articles in English languages are preferred. Before submitting the text the authors are asked to read the guidelines for them. Editorial board  wants to guarantee a high level of the publication. After initial, formal and substantive verification, all articles go through the double-blind review stage. The texts are sent to the external reviewers cooperating with the editorial team. Positive assessment by reviewers and the editorial board's approval are requirements for publication the article in the next issue of Yearbook of International Security. The journal adopted the COPE guidelines and introduced the procedure that eliminates "ghostwriting" and "guest authorship". More information: https://rocznikbezpieczenstwa.pl/
