Short Description
Scientific journal of the Ľ. Štúr Institute of Linguistics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences dedicated to the issues in general linguistics as well as linguistic theory and methodology. It also focuses on the history of linguistics. Apart from the articles, it consists of various sections such as Discussions, Horizons providing information about the latest news in the individual linguistic fields, Reviews and Reports, which inform and critically evaluate the latest Slovak and world linguistic publications and the section called Chronicle, which informs about the life jubilee of Slovak and other linguists and often includes their bibliography or obituary and also announces upcoming linguistic conferences. The authors are mainly Slovak linguists from various academic departments and universities.
