Short Description
Papers in Arts and Humanities (PArtsHum) publishes original, high-quality, and timely research papers in the domain of arts and humanities. Our philosophy could be built on two keywords: particularity and interdisciplinary approach. The founding university is, from more than one perspective, peripheral (at the border of two states, embracing two cultures as an ethnic minority institution). Therefore, we think that our contribution could enlighten the particular, as well as the peculiar, border-crossing and paralogy (as Lyotard puts it). The articles represent a wide range of empirical, theoretical, philosophical, and methodological approaches. The journal also welcomes studies with a cross-disciplinary or multi-disciplinary approach. We also publish reviews of recently published books. The journal publishes original work that is not under consideration, or that has not been previously published elsewhere. Articles based on PhD monographs theses may be submitted, provided they have not been previously published. All research articles are subject to a double-blind peer review. Only manuscripts of sufficient quality that fall within the scope of the journal and adhere to its guidelines will be considered for review.
