The editorial board of Studia Universitatis Babeş-Bolyai, series Bioethica welcomes original contributions in the bioethics and theology fields.

Why Bioethics and Theology? Don’t we run the risk of coming into that area of the impossibility of dialogue? We added the name of Theology, as in the Center, but first in our University there are four faculties of Theology and one Judaist Institute willing to actively support the work of this research center. Therefore one of the primary objectives of the Center for Bioethics will be the establishment of communication terms and language between the scientific and theological specific areas, knowing that theology is a sectorial which is the forefront of ministry of life, both in biological component and in its spiritual and eternal extension. The Centre will therefore be a forum for academic and teaching accurate dialogue between the two structures of the ministry and studying life for its improvement and study. Including this theological component, would not want, that through its activities, research from the Centre to replace the existing church commissions, but to communicate them the positions and necessary technical elements for defining the Church's position towards these problems without producing any damage to the autonomy of Churches. In fact, Faculties of Theology are the servants of the Church, so there is an organic relationship with ecclesiastical structures that they work for, so in this situation they express by their teachers just the canonical position of their church. But as academic structures, they must create a specific missionary social impact and should therefore be in contact with all the contemporary issues and provide the Church solutions and approaches for their solvation. That is why we think that is welcome this theological complement that by what it serves and teaches could restore the integrality of the bios concept, meaning it could boost its understanding not only under its biological relevance, but also in the theological and teleological ones. Where there will be no unity of expression and understanding, each party specifying its stated position, the topic, with accumulation of new perspectives of understanding, is to be called into discussion, without the atomization produced to the parts.
