Short Description
The “Annual of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” – Faculty of History” (GSU-IF) publishes research in the following areas: World history, Bulgarian and Balkan history, Ethnology and Cultural anthropology, Archaeology, Museology, Archaeometry, Archival and Documentary studies, and Pedagogy and Methodology of History education. Publications resulting from the research efforts of professors and scholars may encompass both fundamental studies in the aforementioned fields, as well as those with a theoretical or practical focus, whether they are local or national in nature. The published articles and materials are organized into distinct sections that encompass a diverse range of topics and discussion concerns in the domain of historical knowledge.
GSU-IF is an established academic periodical that has the clear goal of directing the attention of authors and readers to the scientific reconstruction of the historical past, to the dissemination of reliable historical analyses and theses. The journal is focused on macro-history, micro-history, the diversity of events and dynamic processes in the past and present, and the search for new methods and techniques in research, for the publication of new ideas and interpretations.
