Short Description
"Studia Żydowskie. Almanach" is a scientific yearbook devoted to broadly understood Jewish issues, open to both academics and students.
In addition to materials on the city of Zamość and the region, the periodical publishes texts on the broadly understood culture and history of Jews, contemporary Polish-Jewish relations, as well as studies on Israel and Middle Eastern issues. Due to the great cultural heritage of the city, the presence of the Zamość Old Town on the UNESCO list, texts on the history of art are also printed, with particular emphasis on Jewish art and culture.
Purpose and thematic scope of the journal
The aim of the journal “Studia Żydowskie. Almanach” is to present in the journal the latest scientific findings of researchers on broadly understood Jewish topics in the field of history, culture, art, literature and politics, as well as Polish-Jewish and Jewish-Polish relations in the Republic of Poland. An important place in the analyzes and editions of sources is played by published works on the history of Jews in Zamość and the Zamość region.
