Short Description

The Annual of NATFA "Kr. Sarafov" is a traditional periodical scientific publication of the Academy, featuring annually published research (studies, articles, scientific reports, reviews, and other significant formats) that highlight the scientific and practical achievements of its faculty and doctoral students. Its primary focus is on issues related to performing and screen arts, aligning with the Academy's profile.

From 2024, the Annual broadens its scope to encompass all arts and artistic practices, acknowledging that no knowledge today can remain confined to disciplinary boundaries. Seeking intersections and new scientific challenges, the publication offers a forum for researchers from various fields of the humanities.

The aim of the new Annual is not only to remain a flagship scientific publication of the institution but also to shape the academic identity of NATFA’s faculty, becoming a desired venue for contributions from internal and external scholars alike, both nationally and internationally.

To date, the Annual has been published as a print edition with ISSN 1314-0760 and COBISS.BG-ID 1121233892, adhering to a unified design approved by the editorial board. It features only original scientific texts in Bulgarian or English, with authors declaring that their works have not been published elsewhere, either partially or under a different title. Publication is free of charge.
