Short Description
Athena: Philosophical Studies is a scholarly journal issued by the Department of Contemporary Philosophy of the Culture, Philosophy and Arts Research Institute in Vilnius. The journal was founded in 2006 as a response to the widely felt discontent with academic philosophical publications. The purpose of the journal is to provide a non-formal platform for high quality research in contemporary philosophy. Each issue is dedicated to a specific theme which is analyzed from different methodological approaches and perspectives. Papers should be submitted in one of these languages: Lithuanian, English, German, or French. Each article is reviewed by two anonymous reviewers and discussed by the editorial board. The journal also contains a section of book reviews and descriptions of the most significant academic events.
