In this scientific article, we aimed to analyse the residential and investment real estate market and the commercial real estate market in the year 2022, as well as presenting the main challenges for the year 2023.

JAMES PHELAN, NARRATIVE MEDICINE: A RHETORICAL RX, ROUTLEDGE 2023

Author(s): Adrian Năznean / Language(s): Romanian / Issue: 5/2023

Keywords: narrative medicine; patients; caregivers; storytelling, medical practice;

Narrative medicine is an emerging field that is becoming increasingly popular in the study of both humanities and medicine. It combines the traditional skills of storytelling with medical practice, allowing clinicians to better understand their patients’ perspectives and experiences. The use of narrative medicine has been shown to improve patient outcomes, as well as provide clinicians with a more holistic approach to care. By using narrative techniques such as reflective writing and storytelling, healthcare practitioners can better comprehend how a patient’s life circumstances may be impacting their health and wellbeing. This is the core idea of James Phelan’s Narrative Medicine: A Rhetorical Rx, which can be read as a lesson to learn in both the humanities and medical science. The book offers a theoretical framework for the use of rhetoric in narrative medicine and provides a patter to follow for workshops in the field.

A bibliographic review of China's economic development from 1949 to 2023

A bibliographic review of China's economic development from 1949 to 2023

A bibliographic review of China's economic development from 1949 to 2023

Author(s): Cai Jing,Gyorgy Ivan Neszmelyi / Language(s): English / Issue: 1/2023

Keywords: China; Economic Development; Regional economies analysis; Macroeconomics;

Research background: Ever since Deng Xiaoping introduced the reform and opening-up subpolicy in 1978, China has been able to carve out a distinct socialist economic development path with Chinese characteristics. This trajectory has been instrumental in propelling China towards unprecedented levels of economic growth, albeit accompanied by a host of complex and deeply ingrained challenges. As such, China must now take the onus of transforming its economic development paradigm to unlock new growth opportunities and overcome the persisting issues that have emerged in the wake of this rapid growth. Purpose of the article: The authors furnish a thorough and meticulous description of China's past and present voyage towards economic growth and evaluate the diverse impediments that China encounters in its quest for economic development. The authors' intention is to serve as an example for other developing nations to follow suit and learn from China's experience. Methods: This scholarly paper employs the literature review method to scrutinize the articles published in international and Chinese domestic academic journals that discuss China's economic development spanning from 1949 to 2023. Findings & Value added: The economy is undergoing a transition from expanding production capacity to improving production efficiency. China's economic growth is now driven by innovation and enhanced production efficiency, supported by the government's innovationdriven development strategy. While the government's future priorities include promoting the digital economy and sustainable development, the current focus is on stabilizing growth, employment, and prices amid the Covid-19 pandemic. To achieve this, the government must implement proactive fiscal policies and cautious monetary policies to ensure financial stability and encourage the dynamism of the micro economy through macroeconomic management.

CHANGES IN TRANSPORT SERVICES FOR THE KARTUZY POVIAT IN POLAND IN THE YEARS 1990–2023

Author(s): Szymon Jaskulski,Marcin Połom,Sandra Żukowska / Language(s): English / Issue: 2/2023

Keywords: transport exclusion; railway; regional bus transport; private bus company; Kartuzy poviat;

In many areas of Poland, areas of transport exclusion related to the lack of public transport service or insufficient offer are identified. After 1989, when Poland underwent political transformation and consequent economic transformation, funding forbus and rail transport collapsed. While rail transport experienced a significant regression in connections, regional bus transportcan be said to have been completely eliminated. On the map of the whole of Poland, Kartuzy poviat is an exception, where therole of the carrier has been taken over by a private company which offers transport services at a level corresponding to demand,thus positively influencing the transport habits of the inhabitants. The article examines the change in the offer in bus and rail transport in Kartuzy poviat in the years 1990-2023 and shows that the private bus carrier performs tasks that should de facto rest with the state authorities.

THE GENERATION MIX IN ORGANISATIONS, CHALLENGE AND INSPIRATION FOR MANAGERS OF ORGANISATIONS +2023

Author(s): Monica Cojocaru / Language(s): English / Issue: 4/2022

Keywords: ethical; moral; change; responsibility; adaptability; sustainability;

The present times, subject to a complex of crises: health, economic and political, are subtly changing the optimal management approach. At the same time, the employer-employee relationship based on the principle of reciprocity, rewarding employee loyalty through career development opportunities, continuous training and job stability, is no longer relevant. Rapid economic and technological change, questionable political ethics at European level, structural changes in the EU, the consequences of the war in Ukraine, etc. are all sources of insecurity felt by the current generation. They are forced to adopt new career concepts that make it easier to adapt to jobs characterised by reduced stability and security. In this context, employees are forced to "reset their skills to suit the changing work environment in order to remain profitable", says Hall D.T. They value freedom, and the tendency to continuous learning and flexibility are their hallmarks. Given the current social, economic and political context, the paper explores what the values and characteristics of each generation active in the labour market are, and what the business environment needs to adapt to them.

NOMINATIVE-AXIOLOGICAL PARADIGM OF THE DENOTATION “WAR IN UKRAINE: 2022–2023”

NOMINATIVE-AXIOLOGICAL PARADIGM OF THE DENOTATION “WAR IN UKRAINE: 2022–2023”

НОМІНАТИВНО-АКCІОЛОГІЙНА ПАРАДИГМА ДЕНОТАТА „ВОЄННІ ДІЇ В УКРАЇНІ: 2022–2023”

Author(s): MYKOLA STEPANENKO / Language(s): Ukrainian / Issue: 01/2023

Keywords: war discourse; nominative-axiological paradigm; denotation “War in Ukraine: 2022–2023”; Russian-Ukrainian war; simple/complex sub-models of specific names for events;

The author of the article provides the systemic analysis of the nominative-axiological paradigm of the denotation “War in Ukraine: 2022–2023”, which components include bi- and poly- nomial specific names of the generic name war. The study is based on the philosophic and linguistic theories of the conceptual worldview, mental and lingual essence of the language, its objective and subjective nature. Official and unofficial names of the event were observed in Internet texts, consecu- tively and vividly reflecting the evolution of the collective war experience of the Ukrainians and the world community. They are combined into nine sub-models. The classification criterion for these sub-models is the type of semantic reference of near-substantive specifiers with their functional core formed by identificatory markers “who → identical addresser Russia”, “Where / where to → identical space Ukraine”, “When → identical time 2022”. Using semasiological analysis, the semantic structure of each sub-model has been improved, the constitutive properties of the extenders of the lexeme war have been ascertained, and their axiological potential has been shown. The paper offers sociolinguistic commentary justifying the appropriateness/inappropriateness of specific names. It provides an idea of a potential common nomination of the described choronym as a headline for future encyclopedic and lexicographic entries (Russian-Ukrainian War 2022 –?).

Keywords: Polish glottodidactic; goals and directions of teaching and learning; development of teaching Polish as a foreign/second language

The aim of this article is to examine the developmental trajectory that Polish glottodidactics has undergone since its inception as a sub-discipline within foreign language teaching. Cultural and geopolitical shifts, as well as the evolving research paradigms in linguistics, psychology, and pedagogy, have given rise to new and intriguing research areas that glottodidacticians have started to explore. Particular attention has been paid to the last three years of scientific development, during which events such as the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic and the war in Ukraine have initiated the formation of new goals and priorities among both educators and learners.

The tradition of minstrelsy is one of the most important living treasures of Turkish culture. During their life time, the representatives of this tradition expressed the pain, joy and longing, aesthetic and cultural values of the people through their works. Throughout history, many poets and minstrels such as Abdurrahim Karakoç, Ahmet Çıtak and Derdiçok have been raised in the town of Elbistan in Kahramanmaraş, which is a part of the Turkish cultural geography. Today, Mehmet Gözükara is one of the most important poets living in the district of Elbistan. In his works, the poet Gözükara expresses the failing aspects of society, his joys, longings and sorrows through his works. On February 6, 2023, there were two earthquakes, the epicenter of which was Kahramanmaraş. Hundreds of thousands of people migrated, tens of thousands of people died and various sufferings were experienced in this earthquake, which affected eleven provinces in Turkey. One of the centers affected by the earthquake disaster is the district of Elbistan. Poet Gözükara has written works in which he expresses his experiences in the district of Elbistan during the earthquake, what happened after the earthquake, the migrations due to the earthquake disaster, and the pain, desperation and feelings of hope of people as a result of migration. In the article, information about the life, works and poems of the poet Mehmet Gözükara, which he wrote after the earthquake disaster, was obtained during the interview with him. Poet Mehmet Gözükara improvisational poetry constitutes an example of the living artist type who expressed the problems of the people through his works.
