In Transylvania, buildings with a high quality architecture have been constructed along the centuries. The purpose of the present study is to document the built heritage of Transylvania, particularly the Jewish buildings and especially those that had been neglected over the last years. The article is the continuation of the article about the Jewish architecture in Transylvania, with a case study about the Jewish girls’ school in Satu Mare. The research domain is interdisciplinary because it links History, Architecture, Art history and the problem of Globalization as well. The niche in this domain remains the fact that the buildings are not identified, rehabilitated, or promoted. Previous studies have mostly focused on synagogues and prayer houses. Most of the other precious buildings have been left aside. This study offers a new approach to change the point of view of the people who live in Romania, and helps them appreciate the heritage they have received.

Through this article I try to highlight the importance of Jewish and Armenian population which contributed to the development of Iasi County. They were a numerous population some centuries ago, contributing to commerce, being known as good merchants. Commerce was the base for establishing trade relations with foreign countries, therefore Armenians and Jewish helped in territorial and economic development of Iasi County. Also, they built churches, synagogues and schools for their community. Due to hard times, wars, discrimination, they had to leave the country for a better life, thus, their number decreased. As it is seen in the graphic and cartographic representations, the Jewish population decreased from 45,372 Jewish, in 1930, up to 257 Jewish, in 2011. As for the Armenian population, they decreased from 100 Armenian, in 1930, up to 14 Armenian, in 2011. Nowadays, they are not as numerous as they used to be, but they try to raise their visibility at local level through events on various occasions. I took into consideration the 1930-2011 censuses data from the National Institute of Statistics to observe the evolution of these two populations in Iasi County and how they diminished in time.

Part one includes a depiction of eight extant source manuscripts with an analysis of the structure and possible path of development of each copy and eventually – an explanation on the choice of the main sources applied for the synopsis. Part two sketches on the themes from Sefer ha-Ot that have not yet been the subject of detailed research or were just initially hinted without delving into minutiae. These are supported by scans of respective folios from one of the manuscripts. Some schemes and illustrations were added, too, where applicable.
