Priča »Priobalska basna« novosadskog romanopisca i pjesnika Dušana Vejnovića rašomonski je prikaz misterioznog dvostrukog umorstva. Više pripovjedača, među kojima je i jedan zec, daju iskaze o kobnoj noći kad se dogodila nesreća. The current, fifth issue of Philologia Estonica Tallinnensis, which contains eleven articles in two languages, focuses on different sequences in languages. Sequences in languages can be of many different types: orders of emergence or decline of various phenomena; sequences of changes or use of different strategies; the chronology of a particular linguistic phenomenon; the order in which language units are acquired, their frequency or infrequency, etc. The current issue of Philologia Estonica Tallinnensis brings together articles where different kind of sequences have been investigated from a wide range of perspectives in differet languages. The submissions have different approaches and are based on both micro and macro levels of observation. The scope of topics is thus as wide-ranging as our authors are diverse in their backgrounds. This manuscript wishes to discuss something that could be considered the oldest and the newest of themes: Peace. Peace is not just the absence of war. It may be that in your country or region there is no armed conflict. But is there peace? But then what does living in peace mean if it is not just the absence of war or conflict? It is living together with each other's differences - gender, ethnicity, language, religion and culture - while nurturing universal respect for justice and human rights is shared and coexistence based. In this sense, peace is permanently under construction and needs the participation of all, as it is the choice that encompasses sincere dialogue with other individuals and communities. And here we have a key role for education in promoting a culture of peace, from young children to adult.
