Latinisms in synoptic Gospels are related to many fields of life and are of various origins; some of them reflect the cultural and political realities of Palestine under the Roman rule, others are related to the Latin speaking environment. The majority of Latinisms in synoptic Gospels come from the Gospel of Mark. Latinisms used in the Second Gospel are presented and discussed dividing them into groups of descriptions and names of military, juridical and administrative, measurement units, expressions from commercial and everyday life language, as well as Latin suffixes and Phraseological Latinisms.
