The work presents the modules for user management and monitoring and data protection in the web-based information system for servicing the activities of a higher school. The system was designed and implemented in accordance with the specific requirements of the College of Economics and Administration - Plovdiv. The functional possibilities of the system are mainly discussed, as well as those related to the automation of the learning process, the processing of personal data of users, the introduction and editing of study plans, the conduct of exams, the output of a wide range of references, the generation of various text documents, etc. The prospects for the development of the system are indicated.

Purpose: Data is collected from all aspects of our lives. Yet, data alone is useless unless converted into information and, ultimately, knowledge. Since data analysts, in most cases, are not the ones in charge of making decisions based on their findings, communicating the results to stakeholders is crucial to passing on information of data-driven insights. That is where the discipline of data storytelling comes into play. Often, data storytelling is considered an effective data visualization. Creating data stories is a structured approach to communicating data insights as an interplay of the three elements data, visuals, and narrative. Sharing data-driven insights to support better business decisions require data storytellers skilled in the “art of storytelling”. Design/Method/Approach: In this paper, the authors discuss the use of data storytelling in business to communicate data to stakeholders for improving decision-making. The findings are derived from (1) an extensive literature review and (2) a qualitative analysis of 13 expert interviews with people incorporating data storytelling into their daily work within their jobs in international companies. Findings: These interviews revealed the importance of providing a flexible tool to support knowledge sharing for people communicating complex data to internal stakeholders. Combining literature with qualitative research enabled the authors to create the "data storytelling cheat sheet", a guide for practical data storytelling. Theoretical Implications: Theories like the Psychological distance or the idea of the theory of dual processing dual are used to base our research idea on. There was no new theory built in this paper. Practical Implications: One of the results is an implementation systematic cheat sheet that helps practitioners to implement data storytelling in their daily business. Originality/Value: The theory of data storytelling is overwhelming the first time to use and based on an empirical study with experts in the field a guideline for hands on use was developed under a based on a cleanly defined empirical study. The growth of big data processing market led to an increase in the overload of computation data centers, change of methods used in storing the data, communication between the computing units and computational time needed to process or edit the data. Methods of distributed or parallel data processing brought new problems related to computations with data which need to be examined. Unlike the conventional cloud services, a tight connection between the data and the computations is one of the main characteristics of the big data services. The computational tasks can be done only if relevant data are available. Three factors, which influence the speed and efficiency of data processing are - data duplicity, data integrity and data security. We are motivated to study the problems related to the growing time needed for data processing by optimizing these three factors in geographically distributed data centers.

This contribution focuses on issue of the autonomous monitoring of selected dynamic parameters of the railway lines test sections under conditions in the Czech Republic. Description of the possibilities of such data collection, including the designed hardware and software, is a part of this contribution. At the same time, the contribution describes application of such a measuring system, comparing the selected dynamic parameters of the two types of switches, the first one was a switch with a standard fastening node, the other one with an elasticized fastening node. Recommendations and conclusions of railway infrastructure manufacturers and railway line managers are parts of this contribution, as well.

Organisations that provide information technology services mostly set goals for improving the quality and management of services. The ability to remain competitive is one of the most critical factors in any modern organisation's success. For business processes to be successful, it is necessary to rely on rational and well-thought-out solutions. In many cases, data-based solutions create conditions to avoid or reduce significant risks. The article examines the possibilities of applying IT processes to improve customer service and presents its improvement outcomes. Customer satisfaction with the services provided is directly correlated with the quality of services. The research investigates and empirically evaluates the existing IT incident management processes of the selected company and provides opportunities for their improvement. After analysing incident management processes in the selected company, an improvement of the incident management processes was presented to eliminate the identified deficiencies. Descriptive and inferential statistical methods were used to evaluate the effectiveness of the improvements. The results obtained show that the improved process had a statistically significant positive impact on improving the customer service quality. Therefore, it can be stated that the implemented changes are effective and useful in the context of the company's operations.

For real- time data acquisition LabVIEW is suitable as it is easy to learn and use to design prototype model and deployment along with the ability to solve complex algorithm in real time.This paper focuses on the basic concept for the development environment of LabVIEW and examples of different control actions with simulation results. Simple creation of computer communication is controlled by LabVIEW application. Simulation study is done for different control action and the effect can be shown in LabVIEW graphical environment. The software is very user- friendly due to its graphical icon source code. Thefront panel of LabVIEW helps with various measurement results as it uses GUI and the desired type set point can be controlled by selecting or setting the set point.

This article highlights the legal and technical challenges of contemporary heritage conservation in the context of a weak democracy, ethnic unrest, and military rule. Burma was a military dictatorship from 1962 to 2010, followed by the operation of the civil government between 2011 and 2021, which was then overthrown by the military in 2021. These ten years of civil government were characterized by a reopening of the borders to the international community, initiatives towards democracy. In terms of cultural heritage, Myanmar appeared to have made progress in modernizing its legislation when the country ratified and implemented international conventions protecting tangible cultural heritage such as the World Heritage Convention, the 1970 UNESCO Convention, and the 1995 UNIDROIT Convention. In 2015, the elected parliament drafted new legislation protecting cultural heritage: the Law Protecting Ancient Objectsand theLaw on the Preservation and Protection of Ancient Buildings. How has the ratification of international conventions and new laws impacted domestic conservation practices in Myanmar? The democratic turn entailed a visible modernization of laws, policies, and conservation techniques. However, this time was also characterized by peaks of violence between the Burman government, the Rohingya people, and other ethnic minorities. Ultimately, this article reveals that the protection of heritage became closely linked to ethnonationalist ideologies that have survived the numerous changes of political regime. This is particularly true in the Burmese context. Foreign technical assistance must be aware of the country’s complexity and learn from lessons of the past.

The purpose of this article is an attempt to verify the hypothesis that the websites of Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), as modern communication technologies of federal American agencies are qualitatively good in terms of information architecture (IA) within user interface (UI). The United States is a world power and should be a model for other countries. CIA, DEA, and FBI are powerful, famous institutions, strongly promoted not only by American politics but also pop culture. The high quality of federal American agencies’ websites is important to create good image of these institutions, as their activities are secret and websites are one of sparce public communication channels, necessary to stay in contact with users. The IA research (i.e. research of four systems: organizational, labeling, navigation and searching systems) is needed to check if access to information on the websites is easy enough for users and if they were designed taking into account all the principles of functionality. The research methodology includes comparative analysis and qualitative assessment of the IA and own observations. The article is characterized by a special cognitive value as to the knowledge of the author, no scientific publication has been published on this subject yet.

At the beginning of the 20th century, international indexing and cross-referencing type-systems were developed for folklore archiving and research that later advanced to international standards in tradition archives, but they were not compatible with the general archival rules and practices. At present, during the digital age of 21st century, a need to participate in creating interoperable archival standards has emerged. Archival and cultural theories have proceeded from the postmodern era towards the requirements of the digital network society. This paradigm shift calls for measures for creating new standards and rules for the archival world, and a new understanding of the word context in the archival terminology. Furthermore, an integration of the archives, museums and libraries in developing search portals and solutions of Linked Open Data is at stake right now. In the digital age the keywords for the collecting institutions include: network, context, interoperability, and integration.

ICA’s “Records in Contexts” (RiC) and the Finnish Conceptual Model for Archival Description (FCM) have many similarities. Despite of some differences, the models are not profoundly dissimilar when it comes to describing the context: besides records, they both include entities representing agents and functions of agents. What makes the models different is the general approach: in the RiC description is retrospective and recordscentric whereas the FCM sees the description as a continuous activity related process that starts with the record creation. Another main difference is that the goal of the RiC is to integrate ICA’s existing archival standards while the FCM seeks a common interface with the description in libraries and museums. Both models suggest that the description of mandates and business activities is in the core of archival description. Description of mandates and business activities is missing from the models of libraries and museums and is unique for the archives.

The projection is made for the road of institution of the bibliography in Bulgaria in 1918 (А. Teodorov-Balan, Nikolai Nikolaev, Todor Borov). It is revealed the missionary donor’s deed for this bibliographic institution: 1938 (Tsvetana Sabeva Rasheva-Tserovska). It is reported the building and the culmination of the Bulgarian Bibliographical Institute (1941–1963) as an avant–poste of the universal informatization. Are described the glory and the martyrdom of Bulgarian bibliography during this time.

The influence institutional mandates have on the activity and results of describing archives could be risky for the value of descriptive authenticity. Different understandings of archival terminology, descriptive processes, and context models certainly influence the concept of authenticity in regard to archival description within a collection holding institution. If one will ask for authenticity matters, a model of archival description will not be sufficient in order to give insights into the factors description and its results are influenced by. Therefore, the basis of this investigation shall be the draft of a conceptual model consisting of models regarding objects of description, subjects of describing, toolkit for describing and perception. As conference proceedings, this essay highlights certain points and parts. One question is the role of “Records in Contexts Conceptual Model” (RiC-CM) as a new standard which enables priorizations of relationships, and whether it can help to put standardization and authenticity efforts closer together.
