Summary/Abstract: A multidisciplinary monograph which consists of thirteen texts devoted to formation processes of drought, the consequences of such phenomena and the possibilities of regulating those consequences by law. The authors are specialists representing various scientific fields such as: hydrogeology, law, cultural anthropology, linguistics, economics, security sciences, history and physics. The editors of the publication aimed to provide numerous contexts in which drought affects mankind, to show problems connected with it and to try to reflect on the loopholes in the water managment system.
