Summary/Abstract: The author of the paper describes an unknown fact from Cyprian Norwid’s life referring to the artist’s participation in a Cracow Wystawa szkiców (Exhibition of Sketches) that took place between June 10th and July 2nd, 1882, in Sukiennice (Cracow Cloth Hall). Juliusz Mien and Zygmunt Cieszkowski were organisers of the cyclical event. They formed a partnership that associated Polish artists to provide service in purchasing works of art. The paper recollects some press notes devoted to the exhibition, and the information of Norwid’s participation in it allows to include Mien into the corresponding circle of the poet-artist.
