Autographs by Norwid (and Mickiewicz) at auction: A copy of The Moral Maxims and Reflexions by François de La Rochefoucauld

Summary/Abstract: This article discusses a triple autograph containing the signatures by Cyprian Norwid, Adam Mickiewicz and a person named Duhamel – a copy of the book Maximes et réflexions morales by François de La Rochefoucauld, published in 1801 in Avignon. The object was sold by the Kraków-based Antiquary Wójtowicz in October 2023. The article gives an overview of the cir-cumstances of the two poets’ entry, as well as supplements and corrects information that was included in the auction description of the object.
