Analysis of GDPR fines applied at European level during the 2018-2021 period

Summary/Abstract: No human being may be separated from his or her personal data, the right to the protection of such data being included in the same category as the person's right to respect for dignity, the right to life, integrity, liberty and security or the respect for private and family life. Since any rule or any right can at any time be the object of disrespect by others, as an undesirable but manifest expression of human nature, the legislator has ensured, by establishing explicit sanctions included in the legislative norms, that the fundamental rights of persons, including the one to the protection of personal data, are respected.
