Summary/Abstract: The Christian family, blessed by God through the Sacrament of Marriage, represents an environment of man’s moral discipline and fulfilment of his spiritual and religious vocation. The orderly and honest life and the ideal Christian conduct are cultivated in the house, in the family. The family is the foundation and root of the Christian moral life, because in the family environment man acquires the first skills, shapes his character and strives to practice the virtues. Therefore, the family is considered the basic cell of Christian society and a means of strengthening and developing the religious life lived in communion. Within the family, the two rhythms of life, the biological rhythm and the Christian spiritual rhythm, are fulfilled in a harmonious way, in order to cultivate and ennoble both the body and the soul.
