ANALYZING BEHLÜL DANENDE JOKES ACCORDING TO MODERN THEORIES OF HUMOR

Summary/Abstract: Since anecdote, which is one of the folk literature genres, has an effect on people like laughing, humor theories have started to deal with jokes and to deal with the phenomenon of laughter in jokes. These literary products, which have an important place in social life and make people laugh when they are told, have begun to be better understood thanks to these theories. Laughter situations, which folk literature researchers sense in anecdotes and cannot fully explain, are explained more easily thanks to humor theories. In this article, Behlül Danende jokes are analyzed according to modern humor theories and results are obtained on which humor theory can explain the laughing situations in jokes.
