Summary/Abstract: The Troy Historical National Park, which covers an area of 13.350 hectares and was declared a National Park in 1996, is located within the of Çanakkale province. The main theme came from ancient Troy War (10 years period) in both Ilios and Odsseia epic paper and the rumors about the people involved in this war are written events. The national park area covers an ancient city that has been the scene of the Troy Wars, which lasted in epics and historical records. Troy, located near the Tevfikiye Village of Çanakkale, was declared as a National Park in 1996. Troy was also included in UNESCO's World Heritage List in 1998. In this study, in order to determine the importance of the Historical National Park of Troy and the opinions of local people and visitors on the Historical National Park of Troy, 200 people were surveyed. Surveys with different question contents were applied to two different groups, local residents, domestic and foreign tourists. The questionnaire applied to the locals was composed of a total of 18 questions, while the questionnaires applied to the domestic and foreign tourists were composed of 21 questions. It is inferred from the surveys that visitors do not have enough consciousness level about the concept of national park, that the economic expectations of local people have not actualized and that the measures are inadequate to protect these areas. 64% of the local people think that the national park has a negative effect on the region, 71% of them think that the number of arriving tourists is insufficient, 78% of them think that tourists do not make any economic contribution to the region.
