Summary/Abstract: Two books and two genres, burlesque and science-fiction - if the burlesque can be included in such categorization - meet to some extent in two novels separated by centuries, Cyrano de Bergerac's "Other World" or "The Estates and Empires of the Moon and of the Sun" and Jules Verne's "Around the Moon" in order to show that trasgression of norms succeeds in getting one out of immobility, helps humanity to better understand the world.
