Summary/Abstract: The perception of the landscape that cannot be seen outside of its cultural dimension, of the encounter of man with nature through culture, applies in equal measure to various areas of science. The theory of relativity, quantum mechanics and the string theory – the latter constituting the binding of the other two as in the case of the culture – tell us that space and time are not only influenced by the state of motion of the observer, but can also deform and bend in response to the presence of matter and energy creating incredible landscapes. Thus, more or less utopian landscapes, be they literary or scientific, relating to space dimensions meet via the intermediary of several texts by Edwin A. Abbott (1884), Brian Greene (1999), Leonard Susskind (2006), or Horia-Roman Patapievici (2004).
