Summary/Abstract: As the entire generation to which he belongs - the one of the first postwar years - Alexandru Lungu participates, inevitably, in a kind of alternative project of Romanian literature. One in which the aesthetic consequences of the massive synchronizations of the interwar period (culminating with the first avant- garde waves) were to exert their effects on the entire literary field, and the creative destinies of the young people unfolded in the last years of the Second World War would exploit to the last consequences of the paradigm of modernity. By them, and by those who could have followed them, it was natural for Romanian literature to finally be imprinted with an authentic European trajectory, somewhat guaranteed by the freshness and speed of assimilation of a Central Eastern European culture young, with a special identity (an original Latvian-Slav-Levantine alloy with antennas connected to Central Europe vigorously).
