Summary/Abstract: Our article focuses on the finds allegedly found in the vicinity of Belovod’e (Rostov oblast). The cast masque type belt fittings from the assemblage belong to the earliest horizon of the object type in terms of form. Similar belt mounts are known on the steppe east of the Don and from the Volga–Urals Region. Based on these, a north-south trade / communication route can be reconstructed.
