Summary/Abstract: The text is a discussion of the book by Andrzej Michał de Tchorzewski. Its a main assumptions were presented, focusing on the narrative of the work and the critical issues raised by the author. They include, among others the main concepts of general education, its methodological statute, or the issue of its multidisciplinarity. The problems of contemporary general pedagogy and their presentation by the author were also indicated. Tekst jest omówieniem książki Andrzeja Michała de Tchorzewskiego. Zaprezentowano główne jej założenia, skupiając się na narracji pracy oraz newralgicznych problemach, poruszonych przez Autora. Należą do nich m.in. aparat pojęciowy pedagogiki ogólnej, jej statut metodologiczny, czy zagadnienie jej multidyscyplinarności. Wskazano także na sposób prezentacji przez Autora węzłowych problemów współczesnej pedagogiki ogólnej.
