Summary/Abstract: Along with globalization and rapid technological change, the importance of small and medium-sized enterprises, economic growth and the growth of competitiveness of regional economies are constantly growing. The development of small and medium-sized enterprises requires access to intellectual capital, in which the critical role of human capital and educated human capital can be recognized. The aim of this empirical study is to evaluate the impact of changes in the distribution of educated human capital at the level of regional economies in the country on the growth of small and medium sized entrepreneurship dynamics, using a panel regression. The results of the study confirm the fundamental impact of educated human capital on the development of small and medium-sized enterprises and, in particular, the positive impact of the production of university graduates on the development of SMEs in the regions in which they are allocated.
