Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to highlight the most important relationships and dependencies between the existence of Polish regular freemasonry in the interwar period and the relevant provisions of Polish law and its application in practice. It shows the legal complexities and unclear regulations concerning the activities of associations that affect the unfinished process of legalizing the activities of the lodges. Fundamental issues concerning the relationship between the lodges and state power were also presented. The legal act dissolving the Masonic associations in 1938 and its consequences were discussed.
