Summary/Abstract: In this article we make an attempt to interpret Antheus potential in Koneski’s prose. We focus on the short stories “Vineyards” and “The Inns” and two parts of the book “Diary after Many Years”: “Belasica” and “Garden”. The idea for this, in the year in which we mark the significant jubilee - 100 years since the birth of academician Blaze Koneski, comes from many sides: first, the basic, semantic dominance of his entire literary work, the connection of that work with his native Macedonian soil, the connection with tradition and, of course, the fact that Koneski’s prose is less studied. Because of that, this article made a modest contribution, but it seemed most appropriate in this occasion. Here we make an attempt to describe Koneski’s subtle connection with the patriotic, patriotic and motherly. In the prose texts we have chosen for reading and analysis from this aspect, the Antheus capacity is reflected in at least a dual way – as patriotic and maternal. The recognition of the Antiochian force moves either along a national, patriotic line, or for Koneski the Macedonian country is a mother. Prose entities with such potential (words, syntagms and sentences) are isolated and interpreted semantically and contextually. In fact, nothing new is said, it is already known that there is almost no poem or short story by Koneski where the birthplace is not at least associated. Hence the need for that connection to be called Antheus and without a doubt, Koneski’s prose has such potential.
