Summary/Abstract: The collapse of Yugoslavia and the wars that ensued were met with opposition from artists in all republics. One of the most spectacular examples of the involvement of music in showing resistance to the authorities and the military operations was the Rimtutituki project consisting of the bands Električni Orgazam, Partibrejkers, and Ekaterina Velika. Despite recording only one song, it became a symbol of pacifist rebellion. “Slušaj ‘vamo” is a simple song with a great emotional charge, which made a permanent mark on the history of Balkan socially engaged music. This article presents its history and the socio-political context of its creation and impact.
