Summary/Abstract: The goal of this study was to study what factors are associated with hospital performance over a wide range of domains (quality, patient experience, infection prevention, efficiency of the emergency department and waiting times for specialist care). There are several potential factors influences hospital performance. These include hospital size, ownership, accreditation status and geographic location. I examined the impact of these factors of hospital performance. The results of the study showed that inconsistent associations are seen between hospital characteristics in Israeli public hospitals.
