Summary/Abstract: The future imminent departure of the United Kingdom from the EU and, with it, from Сommon law, require re-exposing the main milestones of the historical reception of Roman law in continental court systems and re-analyzing the European codifying impulses, fundamentally through general catalogs of principles, examining the influence of Roman law on them, specifically, in relation to the vices of contractual consent: error, fraud and intimidation.
