Summary/Abstract: The President of the United States is elected by indirect election. The extended electoral process consists of, among others, the popular vote, the vote of electors, and the calculation of the result of the electors' vote by Congress. With the upcoming meeting of the Electoral College, which in 2020 falls on December 14, it is worth taking a look at the laws governing this body.
