Climate Education for Preschool Children

Summary/Abstract: Climate has become an ever-present topic. Discussions on climate change are held on TV, in the Internet, and on the street. Climate change is one of the biggest challenges of our times for it affects the way societies and economies around the world operate: from dangerous weather anomalies, through a drop in crop production, to international conflict escalation. What is more, the consequences of climate change pose a risk to many areas of life. Therefore, one ought to take actions to limit it. For the actions to be effective, climate change-related education must start as early as in kindergartens. The article will present theoretical considerations concerning preschool education for climate protection and examples of good practices in the field available to preschool-age children.
