Summary/Abstract: There is a distinct need for a more serious and extensive study of the relationship between language and religion within linguistics itself. Namely, the first monuments of literacy in almost all nations were connected with the religious sphere of human life and deeds. Today, especially in countries with until recently the ruling anti-theistic ideology, this interest in the relationship between language and religion is renewed, which is in line with the increasingly expressed interdisciplinarity that has been felt in modern linguistics for the last few decades. Thus, in some scientific centers, such research also gains the status of a special scientific discipline within the framework of linguistics — theolinguistics. Due to the specificity of theology asa science that deals with issues of the religious sphere, on the one hand, and due tothe emergence of religious as a special functional style (or sacral-functional-stylistic complex) with its peculiarities, on the other hand, in this paper we shall pointout the specificity of positioning of the stylistics of theological scientific works.
