The Price of Old Romanian Books in the Notes on the Books from the CRV Fund of the Romanian Academy Library in Cluj-Napoca

Summary/Abstract: The notes on books represent an important aspect in the study of the old Romanian books. They are so important because they usually contain information that cannot be found elsewhere. Such is the case of the notes on the book prices and their owners. There are 180 notes on books in the CRV fund of the Romanian Academy Library in Cluj-Napoca. The information contained by such notes reflect the value and the importance of the book for its owner and that time. A brief survey of the notes reveals that the old Romanian books represented since their printing and until nowadays important cultural and material treasures.
