A Contribution to the Modern Romanian Bibliography: The Verse of a Recruit

Summary/Abstract: The Romanian Academy Library published 4 volumes of the Modern Romanian Bibliography, which is intended to continue the Old Romanian Bibliography. This exhaustive work contains all the titles of the books published in Romania between 1831 and 1918. Yet, there are still some flaws, including a small poem entitled The Verse of a Recruit, which was printed around 1847 in Sibiu or Braşov. The poem comprises 16 stanzas and deals with the harsh life of the recruits. The book can be found at the “Lucian Blaga” Central University Library in Cluj-Napoca.
