Summary/Abstract: It is an ongoing action for individuals to get rid of the uncertainties they have experienced in their lives, to resort to various fortunes in the desire to know the future in order to be aware of the positive or negative situations that await them in their own life. While various fortunes are applied all over the world, today with the development of technology, fortunes have also taken their place in digital media. As a priority, fortune telling services such as coffee fortune, tarot fortune, and palm reading were provided on internet sites, and people later used fortune telling applications that they provided access to on mobile. Nowadays, fortune-telling has changed as a place, taking shape with YouTube channels. The YouTube channels to be examined in this study were selected based on three basic principles. The first is that the channel owner has the highest number of subscribers compared to other channels; in order for fortune teller to represent both sexes, both female fortune teller and male fortune teller channels were preferred. Finally, one more female fortune teller was chosen to go to the comparison between female fortune tellers. According to these features, YouTube channels called “Kahve Falında”, “Firuze_Yorumcunuz” and “Gizli Ritüel” will be examined respectively. The aim of this study is to show that by eliminating the limits that can occur with digital media, fortune tellers provide transportation to more people. It is aimed to reveal data about the continuity of the tradition of fortune telling and the convenience of intergenerational transmission with these products shared in digital media.
