Summary/Abstract: The online teaching and learning of the past year represented a challenge and an opportunity for teachers and learners of a specialised language. The gap between digital natives and digital immigrants seemed to widen in the first period and gradually narrowed with the help of gamification as a new pedagogical strategy. The presentation focuses on the integration of game elements during and after the course of Business English for the 1st year students at Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania. It explores the ways to gamify foreign language learning based on results of students' polling regarding their online learning experience of Business English.
