Summary/Abstract: Gheorghe Câmpean can be considerred as the model of the ideal librarian. He started his activity in the library in the difficult 50’s, and soon became passionate about books, about reading. After a short period of working at the Borsec library, he has returned to Mureş County Library and he retired in 1994. He has not written any book, although he could have done it, but he left behind the image of a librarian totally dedicated to his profession.
