Summary/Abstract: Siyasahnamah [politics book] and nasihanamah [advice book] type works contain remarkable knowledge, view, advice and proposals about politics and governance. In these works, the qualifications, duties and responsibilities of governors, administrators and other officials from president to the lowest state official in the state are reminded, and problems and distortions are put forward and solution offers are made. The work titled Taḥrīr al-aḥkām fī tadbīr ahl al-Islam, written by Badraddīn Ibn Jamāʿa, is also a book that can be seen and discussed within the scope of the politics books that constitutes the common political view of humanity. Badraddīn Ibn Jamāʿa is one of the important names attracting attention with his views in the history of Islamic politics and governance thought. In the final analysis Ibn Jamāʿa left a treasure worthy work for researchers, especially those working in the field of politics and governance. As a professor of hadith and fiqh, he taught and raised many students. The problem of this research is to set forth the main points of Ibn Jamāʿa’s thought of politics and governance. In this article, it is aimed to understand and explain of the approaches of Ibn Jamāʿa about politics and governance based on his mentioned work. Within the scope of this purpose, the study also aims to contribute to researches on political science, sociology and history. Within the framework of the understanding methodological paradigm, the researcher addresses the subject with a qualitative approach and the documentation technique.
