Business strategy and business model - similarities and differences

Summary/Abstract: In ontological terms, such objects as ”business strategy” and ”business model” are the basis of strategic management. Business strategy is an older object, multilaterally described and explored. A business model is a much younger object, which continues to be recognized. To deepen this recognition it is necessary to determine the relationship between them, which is the aim of this work. Identification and comparative studies allow to determine that they are different concepts, but of the same family, so using them to describe doing business is a logical consequence. The mutual relations established that the business model is the basis for business strategy.
