Summary/Abstract: The subject of the article is to compare the attitudes of teachers from Bulgaria, Belarus, Romania, Ukraine, Poland and Slovakia (N = 609) towards several issues related to the education of talented students. The research area was chosen intentionally. Since the nineties it is a region rarely explored. Despite the political transformation, Central and Eastern Europe is culturally still more similar to Russia than to the Western Europe. The scaling and comparative methods were used. Comparative studies mean searching similarities and differences in educational practices and allow for critical reflection on working with talented students. Research conducted among teachers helps to understand their relationships with talented students and explain the actions taken to develop skills. Individualism-collectivism as one of six dimensions of national cultures was used in the interpretation of the data.
